知识产权的世界正在经历剧烈的改变，而知识产权在现代全球商业战略中的地位日益加重，技术标准化和开放源代码软件能够提供互操作性更强、开发成本更低的解决方案，但同时也带来了更棘手的知识产权问题和矛盾。
The world of intellectual property is changing, and the world is also changing for intellectual property. An intellectual property policy regime must strike the appropriate balance between protecting the economic rights of inventors and meeting the need of society by advancing the progress of science. Open standards provide the basis of innovation and are the engine for tremendous growth. Both open standards and intellectual property are essential to promote innovation and a balanced approach to IP and stan- dards is the key.
