统计符号库的设计与实现是GIS与CAC中的难点，一直制约着统计地图制国软件的开发和实用化。本文首先分析了矢量符号产生的过程化方法及其局限性，进而基于OO思想和BORLANDC++语言提出了统计符号库设计与实现的新方法。

Statistic symbol library designing and realizing are difficult ones in all of itskinds, this hedges the software development and implementation of statisticcartography. We firstly retrace and review the procedure method and its disadvantage.Then, secondly, appIying Borland C++, we present a new statistic symbol Librarydesigning and realizing method based on Object-Oriented idea.
