Research on the Regional Economic Cooperation between Yunnan and Burma Based on Comparative Advantage

云南与缅甸山水相连,交往历史悠久。自然地理、人文、民族、风俗、气候具有相似性,沟通与交流便捷。双方资源禀赋和产业互补性强,在经济全球化、区域经济一体化背景下,应加强区域经济合作,发挥各自比较优势,推进东盟自由贸易区建设,促进共同繁荣与发展。

The border of Yunnan province is connected with Burma, and there are long friendly relationships between the two places. There are great similarities between the two places in geography, human cultures, folk customs, traditions and the climate, therefore it is convenient for the people to communicate with each other. The natural resources and industries have strong complementarity. Under the background of the globalization of economy, and the integration of regional economy, it is necessary to strengthen regional economic cooperation, take use of comparative advantages respectively, and promote the construction of free trade zone in ASEAN countries in order to promote mutual prosperity and development.
