Method This paper presents calculation formulae of temperature drop and heating under different conditions by means of comprehending various methods of calculating temperature drop and heating of tank oil. Purpose The economic and rational way of heating is determined by calculating and comparing temperatures of heating and cooling of oils in thermochemical settling tank and out-transfering oil tank in joint station. Result Temperature holding efficiency of oil tank is better than its temperature rising efficiency. Conclusion Oil tank temperature can be accurately calculated with these formulae which are widely applicable.
