关于建立中国研究型大学联合会的思考

Thinking On the founding of Association of Chinese Research Universities

建立中国研究型大学联合会对促进我国研究型大学的发展具有重要意义，这不仅是巩固高等教育管理体制改革成果、继续深化高等教育改革的需要，也是促进研究型大学科学发展、和谐发展的重要途径。美国和英国研究型大学联合会的历史与实践都证明了其对本国研究型大学发展所起的重要作用。中国研究型大学联合会的发起高校规模应在15～20所。联合会主要承担高等教育研究、政策咨询和行业自律等职能。

The founding of association of Chinese research universities is of significance to strengthen the institutional construction of Chinese research universities, it＇s not only a need of consolidating the fruit of higher education management system reform and further deepening higher education reform, but also an important approach to the healthy and harmonious development of research universities. The experience of those in the United States and Britain indicates the important role of universities;association play in the developing process of research universities. The sponsor universities of the association of Chinese research universities should be limited to 15～20. The functions of the association mainly include higher education studies, policy advisory and self-discipline.
