The satellite Nigcomsat-1 was launched at 00：01 on May 14, 2007 （Beijing time） by a LM-3B launch vehicle from Xichang Satellite Launch Center. 26 minutes after the lift-off, the satellite entered the preset geostationary transfer orbit with an apogee of 41,951km, a perigee of 209km and a declination of 25 degree. The solar arrays were opened at 01：29 and antennas were deployed at 02：11. After several orbital maneuvers, the satellite was positioned as planned on May 22. Nigcomsat-1 is the first whole satellite built and launched by China for a foreign customer.
