The catalytic activity and ESR amplitude for SAPO 5(22), SAPO 5(19), SAPO 5(5), AlPO 4 5 and HY molecular sieves were studied for n hexane cracking reaction at 450℃ in a micro type quartz fixed bed reactor under the condition of dynamic state by combined ESR GC computer. Coke content of the above described catalysts was determined by TG DTA. It was found that the order of catalytic activity of mentioned catalysts is in accordance with ESR amplitude and coke content as follows: HYSAPO 5(22)>SAPO 5(19)>SAPO 5(5)AlPO 4 5. The IR spectra of adsorbed pyridine on SAPO 5(19) and AlPO 4 5 before and after n hexane cracking were observed by FT IR spectrometer. It has been found that n hexane cracking reaction takes place at the same time on the Brnsted acid sites and Lewis acid sites in SAPO 5 catalyst.
