摘要
记述了采自湖北省的蚁科昆虫2新种,即九宫山凹头臭蚁Phildris jiugongshanensis sp.nov.和七齿前结蚁Prenolepis septemdenta sp.nov.。文中提供了凹头臭蚁属Philidris Shattuck和前结蚁属Prenlepis Mayr在我国所有种的检索表。新种模式标本保存于湖北民族学院昆虫标本室。
In this paper, two new species of Formicidae are described from Hubei Province, China. Keys to all species of the genera Philidris and Prenolepis in China are given respectively. The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Insect Collection, Hubei Institute for Nationalities, China.
1 Philidris jiugongshanensis sp. nov.(Figs.1-2)This new species is allied to Philidris notiala Zhou et Zheng,1998, but differs from the latter in the following characters:antennal scapes long,about 1/3 of their lenth extending beyond the occpital border of head, anterior border of dypeus distinctly concave, body lacking shining, head, alitrunk and pefiolar node without erect hairs.
Holotype worker, 950 m, Jiugongshan Forest Park ( 29.3° N, 114.8° E ), Tongshan County, Hubei Province, 12 Aug. 2005, WANG Wei leg. Paratype 5 workers, collected from the same nest of the holotype.
Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality.
2 Prenolepis septemdenta sp. nov. (Figs. 3-4)
This new species is similar to Prenolepis longiventris Zhou, but differs from the latter in masticatory margin of mandibles with 7 teeth; mesopleuron and propodeal inclistinctly with longitudinal strations; erect hairs black, blunt and relatively sparse, The new species can be distinguished from other known species of the East Asia by the charactersfics of mandibles with 7 teeth and gaster longer than alitrunk.
Holotype worker, 110 m, Shipai (30.9°N, 111.2° E), Yichang City, Hubei Province, 16 June 2005, WANG Wei leg. Paratype 5 workers, collected from the same nest of the holotype.
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin septem and dent, referring the mandibles with seven teeth.
