从《天人三策》看汉武帝独尊儒术

On Han Wu-di’s Paying Supreme Tribute to Confucianism from "Tian Ren San Ce"

董仲舒《天人三策》的对策,提出了"《春秋》大一统者,天地之常经,古今之通谊也"的思想,主张加强中央集权、损抑诸侯、宾服四夷。这一主张适应了当时的形势,为汉武帝解决即位以来所面临的最迫切需要解决的诸侯坐大与对匈奴的和战问题提供了理论的依据和指导,从而为汉武帝接受"独尊儒术"的建议打下了坚实基础。

In ＂Tian Ren San Ce＂, Dong Zhong-shu＇s put forward the concept of great national unity, maintained the centralization of state power, repression of the princes＇ power and let the countries around submit themselves. This kind of theory catered to the needs of the circumstances, and offered theoretical guidance to the problems of crying need such as the princes＇ growing stronger and the battle with Xiongnu after Hanwudi＇s taking of his seat. Therefore it laid a solid foundation for Hanwudi＇s acceptation of the proposal.
