唐前田园诗大致经历了四个发展阶段:《诗经》时代,两汉时期,魏晋时期和南北朝时期。虽然唐前田园诗的创作还未形成气候,但已在题材内容、主题内涵方面确立了基本的表现范围;在创作方法、艺术表现上,也积累了较丰富的经验,为唐代田园诗的繁荣、发展作了充分的前期准备。

A General View about the Idylls before Tang Dynasty. Abstract： The idylls before Tang Dynasty had experienced four periods ： Book of Poetry period, Han Dymisty, Wei - Jin Dynasty, and Northern and Southern Dynasty. Though the idylls werent fully developed before Tang Dynasty, they had established their own ranges in content and topics, and also got rich experiences in writirig methods and art representative techniques, which were well prepared for the prosperity of the idylls in Tang Dynasty.
