Poverty in China: A Marxist Analysis

马克思的贫困理论的一般规律,对于我们研究社会主义市场经济条件下的贫困问题具有现实的指导意义。依据马克思贫困理论的制度决定、技术基础和表现形态等三个层面,并结合我国二十多年扶贫的实践,分析当前贫困的现状和所面临的挑战,提出进一步加快有效反贫困的对策。

The general laws of Marxist theory of poverty offer practical guidance for poverty research under socialist market economy. This paper proceeds from the three levels of Marxist theory of poverty ： institutional determination, technological basis and forms of expression. Taking into account of more than twenty years of poverty alleviation in China, it analyzes the present situation and challenges and proposes countermeasures for speeding up effective poverty alleviation.
