越调,因三国历史剧的影响而被列入河南三大剧种之一。申凤梅在继承传统的基础上,吸纳了京剧、豫剧等其他剧种的精髓和艺术表现手段,将新的理念、新的艺术追求和审美理想,注入三国历史剧的创作与排演中。她把饰演三国剧作为对历史精神的解读,作为对一个民族的文化心理、文化人格的体验与表达,在塑造历史人物、抒发人文情怀、阐释历史精神、揭示历史人物复杂而丰富的情感世界等方面,走出了一条自己的路子,创造了鲜明的艺术个性,形成了自己独特的艺术风格。

As one of three operas in Henan province, Yue opera is popular for its influence on historical play on Three Kingdoms. On the basis of carrying forward the tradition, SHEN Fengmei absorbed the extracts and art expression methods from Beijing opera, Henan opera, etc. to reform historical play on Three Kingdoms with the new concept, art pursuit and ideal for appreciation of the beautiful. SHEN took the performance in the historical play on Three Kingdoms as the understanding of historical spirit, the experience and expression of culture mentality and character for a nation. For the reasons above, SHEN formed the vivid art personality and special art style on historical personages playing and their complex feelings showing, humanity emotion expression, historical spirit expatiation, and so on.
