中原石匠文化探析

A Probe into the Culture of the Stonemasons in Chinese Central Area

石匠是中国农耕文化时代不可缺少的手工匠人。笔者通过对郑州市郊一位叫武家宏的老石匠的访谈,了解到中原石匠行业中的师承关系、礼仪规矩、作业程序、收入情况、技术要求以及传奇故事等鲜活的资料。这些资料不仅揭示出传统社会工匠阶层的生存状况,更反映出民俗文化的丰富内涵。

Stonemasons are indispensable craftsmen in the era of Chinese farming culture. Through the interview with an old stonemason called WU Jiahong living in the suburbs of Zhengzhou city, the writers of this paper have obtained many authentic and fresh materials in the trade of stonemasons in the aspects of the continuity of masters and apprentices relationship, the rituals and regulations, the working procedures, their income, technical require- ments, the legendary tales concerned, etc. These materials have not only revealed the living conditions of the stonemasons in the traditional society but reflected the rich cultural connotations of folk customs.
