Where conventional automatic control in process engineering does not satisfy but experienced operators are able to get satisfactory results with manually control. Fuzzy control should be considered as an altemative or addition.Present applications of FUZZY TM, a new functionality of the Siemens process control system TELEPERM M, show that not only the operators will be relived but also the process runs more reproducible and with more eveness and security. Usually the need of time and energy decreases as well as the production costs and the productivity increases.
