Expediting Export-Oriented Agriculture to Develop New Socialist Countryside

世界各国都十分重视农业及农产品贸易的发展。中国自加入世贸组织以来，在市场开放的过程中，农业的外向型经济发展十分迅速，进出口均出现了大幅度的增长，比入世当年翻了一番以上。

In 2006, China＇ import and export of farm produce topped 63.01 billion US dollars （excluding the figures ofTaiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, the same below）, an increase of 12.9% over 2005 and up by 100% from 27.79 billion US dollars in 2001. The export reached 31.03 billion US dollars ahead of 30 billion US dollars for the first time, up by 14.1%, while the import amounted to 31.99 billion US dollars, up by 11.6%. The trade deficit decreased to 960 million US dollars from 1 460 million US dollars in 2005, a drop of 34.2%.
