The Golf Car industry continues to respond to what the consumer demands, electric power over gas power. ＂in the United States 80% of the golf cars use electric cars＂ , says Dewey Holland, former Senior Vice President at Club Car, He believes this trend will continue due to the more reliable technology, lower overall operating cost and quiet operation provided by electric golf cars. ＂It used to be that gas was needed for hills＂ , he adds, ＂but with new SepEx drive systems the electrics （cars） are now more powerful＂ .
