The Function of City Community in the Prevention of HIV/AIDs

城市社区是一种具有多功能的社会实体,它在抗击艾滋病中可以发挥巨大作用。社区整合功能的发挥可以有效整合社区的文化、规范和组织系统,挖掘社区潜在的“防艾”资源;社区管理功能的发挥可以从行政干预、政策建立和计划制定等方面,保证“防艾”工作的顺利进行;社区导向功能的发挥则可对居民行为和生活方式进行导向,从而增强居民抗击艾滋病的自律性。

The city community is a social entity with many functions. It will have its uses in the resistance of AIDs for all people. The conforming function of community will integrate the community＇ s culture, norms and organizational systems, and excavate the potential resources for AIDs＇ prevention in a community. The managing function of a community will make the prevention work successfully from the fields of administrative intervention, policy making and decision making. The direction function of a community will direct people＇ s behavior and the way of life and enhance their ability of self control in the resisting of AIDs.
