哺乳动物雷帕霉素靶分子位于胰岛素/胰岛素样生长因子通路的下游,同时接受营养信号和能量信号,参与细胞、器官和生物体肥胖的调控,引起胰岛素抵抗,促进血管内皮细胞生长因子的表达,可能在2型糖尿病及糖尿病肾病的发生发展中起重要的作用。
The mamalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) plays a central role in the regulation of cell growth. mTOR receives input from insulin/insulin-like growth factors and nutrients, to stiumlate protein synthesis by phosphorylating key translation factors such as ribosomal S6 kinase and eukaryote initiation factor 4E binding protein 1 . Hyperactivation of mTOR is associated with obesity, insulin resistance and increased vascular endothelial growth factor expression. Here we will discuss the emerging evidence for a functional relationship between the mTOR signaling pathway and diabetic nephropathy in type 2 diabetes.
