摘要
翻译中对文化因素的处理一般可分为两种主要以源语文化为归宿和主要以目的语文化为归宿,即异化和归化。文章以现今菜名的英译研究为载体,探讨了异化和归化的辨证关系以及菜名英译的理论趋向,以便外国人在品尝佳肴之时感受中国浓郁的传统文化。
Two approaches can be applied to convey the cultures involved in translation: SL culture -oriented and TL culture - oriented, namely foreignization and domestication. This paper centers on the dialectical relationship between foreignization and domestication by analyzing the translation of Chinese menus and also explores the theoretical tendency in the translation of Chinese menus, hoping to help foreigners appreciate traditional Chinese cultures when tasting delicious Chinese food.
