Based on the cultivation of innovation ability for the engineering specialty students, the paper analyses the status, function and features of science and technology practice out of class are explored. It also discusses the problems and actuality for science and technology practice out of class. And moreover, it puts forward the measures for the talent cultivation in science and technology practice. Several aspects of advices are brought forward about innovation ability cultivation including the mechanism and organization establishment for science and technology after school.
