This paper presents the status of applying 3D technique to engineering graphics education CAI, introduces the development environment and technical features of Shockwave3D and discusses the advantages of Shockwave3D in CAI interactive animation creation. Furthermore, it introduces briefly some common CAI items in Director and the ways of creating 3D interactive animations and shows an example of courseware for intersection curve in the end.
