宋代的甘肃地区自然资源丰富,北宋王朝为了抗衡西夏,开发经营西北地区,对甘肃地区的水利、森林、矿产资源进行开发利用,并且设立市易司(务),建榷场,置牧监、马坊,坑冶铸钱。北宋王朝对甘肃自然资源的开发利用,有利于甘肃地区的经济发展。

Gansu was rich in natural resources in the Song Dynasty. The Northern Song Dynasty exploited and used water, forest and mine resources in order to match the Western Xia Dynasty and develop Northwest . At the same time , the Northern Song Dynasty set up market,grazing land,house workshop and founded coin money. In all,exploiting of natural resources of Gansu in the Song Dynasty was benefical to the economy developing of Gansu.
