The Noun Metaphors in Literature Translation

国内外隐喻学的研究成果表明,隐喻与翻译有着密切的关系。隐喻作为一种特殊的言语表达手段,在文学作品中广泛运用。可以说,文学作品是一种隐喻信息的载体,文学翻译的过程也就是隐喻翻译的过程。隐喻主要体现在词汇方面,通过隐喻语言的词汇体系更加丰富多彩。名词性隐喻纷繁复杂,构成格式千变万化,其翻译不可避免地成了俄汉语言转换中的一大难题。因此,通过对俄罗斯文学作品名词隐喻运用的分析,可以揭示文学作品中隐喻的翻译策略。

The findings of the research into the noun metaphors at home and abroad have shown that metaphors are closely related to translation. The metaphor, as a special means of language expression, is widely used in literature. And literary works are carriers of metaphors. Thus, to some extent, the process of translating literature works is that of translating metaphors. Metaphors are mainly adopted in the field of words, and made more colorful by the extension of word meanings. Noun metaphors are so complicated and varied in structure that their translation becomes difficult in translating Russian into Chinese. This paper expounds the strategies of translating metaphors by analyzing metaphors in Russian literature.
