摘要
语用迁移是第二语言学习者在语言习得过程中常常发生的现象。本文采用"语篇补全测试"问卷调查法,通过对中、澳三组受试者的答卷进行对比、分析,探讨中国学生使用英语表达拒绝言语行为时,在语义成分的选择、语义成分的顺序、具体内容、使用频率4个方面发生的语用迁移及其对英语教学的启示。
Pragmatic transfer often occurs when an EFL learner attempts to communicate in the target language. This study investigates pragmatic transfer within the performance of the speech act of refusals by Chinese learners of English, using Discourse Completion Test as an elicitation instrument. Data elicited from the Chinese subjects and Australian subjects show that pragmatic transfer in the refusals of Chinese learners of English is evident in five major areas: selection of semantic formulas, order of semantic formulas, content of semantic formulas, frequency of semantic formulas and average number of semantic formulas used per response. The implications of the study to the teaching of English are pointed out at the end.
