The Perspective of the Historical Period:from Western Modernism to Western Aesthetic Modernism

从时期角度研究西方现代性具有重要意义,西方现代性决定和影响了西方的审美现代性。结合西方现代性的起源、分期和发展历史,根据西方的审美现代性的发展状况,可以把西方的审美现代性分为产生期(从15世纪到启蒙运动)、发展期(从启蒙运动到20世纪六七十年代)、反思期(20世纪六七十年代到今),从人文主义、理性主义到现代主义、后现代主义,这是西方审美现代性发展诸阶段的不同特性。

It is of great significance to study Western modernism from the perspective of the historical periods. Western modernism determines Western aesthetic modernism. By examining the origin, historical period-division and history of development of Western modernism and the status-quo of the growth of Western aesthetic modernism, this aesthetic modernism can be divided into the period of emergence （from the 15th century to the Enlightenment Movement ）, period of development （from the Enlightenment Movement to 1960s and 1970s） and the period of reflections （from 1960s and 1970s to the present）. Humanism, rationalism, modernism, post-modernism represent the different features of the various periods of development of this aesthetic modernism.
