The paper analyses Rasputin＇ s novels from three aspects. First, his novels reflect local flavor and his close connection with the common people, which is the prime character of his novels. Second, his novels reflect the dialectical unity of humanism and moral judgment. Third, his realism syncretizes modern symbolism. All three aspects form the new realism of Rasputin.
