英语广告的商业性要求其投入少,后效好。适时恰当地应用修辞手法可以增强广告的感染力,产生独特的宣传效果,有效地影响受众对产品的态度,从而更好地服务于广告的最终目的。
The commercial nature characterizes the advertisement, which requires more return with less investment. The effect of an advertisement largely depends on the application of rhetoric means. The proper use of rhetoric device in an ad can cause unique propagandistic effects. And thereby it always influences the readers' attitude to the product that the ad. boasts. The paper analyses the rhetoric phenomena and the functions in advertising .
