Research on Inserting PMU in Automation System in Northwest Power Grid

从装置接入的角度简要介绍了PMU(同步相量测量装置)的原理、功能,描述了PMU装置的数据处理类型、子站与主站的通信流程等技术。多方面的经验表明,PMU装置作为WAMS系统的基础,为电网动态实时监测提供了新技术和新手段,必将对电网的安全稳定运行起到重要的作用。

The principle and functions of PMU （synchronized phasor measuring unit） are introduced briefly from the view of inserting the unit, the types of data processing, the communication flow between master station and slave station, and so on, are described. Several experiences show that PMU provides new technologies and approaches for the dynamic real-time monitoring of the power grid as the foundation of WAMS system, therefore, PUM plays an important role in secure, steady operation of the power grid.
