私学传统在中国源远流长，但在历史上经历了书院教育的退场与近代私立大学销匿的两次断裂。当前，经济社会与教育发展为重建私立大学提供了环境、机遇与可能。私立高等教育的发展，有赖于相关立法工作的推进，多元化融资机制的建立，公平、开放的思想环境与竞争格局的形成，非政府的评估制度的建设与完善。

The tradition of private school in China has a long history, but there are two collapsing in history as Ancient Chinese school education quitted the stage of history and modern private university fade away. At present, the development of social economy and education provided the environment, the opportunity ancl the possibility for the reconstruction of private university. The development of private university is depends on the promotion of legislative work, the establishment of diversified financing mechanism, the formation of impartial and open thought environment and competitive pattern, the construction and perfection of non-governmental assessment system.
