隐喻意识的提高对惯用语学习的影响

摘要 就惯用语的记忆、理解、应用和书面产出四个方面,运用方差分析的统计方法探析非英语专业大学生隐喻意识的提高对英语惯用语学习的影响。要有意识地培养学生的隐喻意识,能够显著提高学生对惯用语的记忆、理解和应用能力;学生对惯用语的书面产出能力虽有明显提高。该实验结果为语言能力、交际能力与隐喻能力同等重要的外语学习观念提供一个佐证。 This study attempts to investigate the effect of metaphor awareness on English idiom learning with non-English major college students through the analysis of variance from four perspectives. The results demonstrates that the students' ability of retention, comprehension, application of idiom are enhanced significantly by cultivating their metaphor awareness in the process of teaching and that their ability of idiom output in writing was obviously increased, but there is no significant differences because of the factor of treating time. The finding provides some evidence in support of the teaching approach that the development of learners' metaphorical competence is as important as that of their linguistic and communicative ones.
