Homeobox gene, with tow subgroups- HOXⅠ gene and HOX Ⅱ gene, is a conserved gene family. It play an important role in embryonic development process. This paper focus on the role of the homeobox gene in the development of limbs, nervous system , gastrointestinal , female reproduction and haematogenesis regulation.
