Evaluation on the Sustainable Development Capacity in Gansu Province

自然条件差、生态环境严酷、经济基础薄弱,是甘肃基本的省情特征。近年来,随着经济的发展和人口的增加,水、土地、矿产等资源不足的矛盾日益突出,资源和能源的约束越来越严重,实现甘肃经济、社会和资源环境的可持续发展变得日益紧迫。通过选取甘肃周边的省、区及东部部分发达省份作参照对象,建立可持续发展指标体系,利用主成分分析法,对甘肃和甘肃周边省、区及东部部分发达省份的可持续发展进行对比研究,寻找甘肃在可持续发展过程中与其它省份相比所存在的问题和差距,探索可持续发展之路。表3,参16。

Gansu province is characterized by severe ecological environment, weak infrastructure and adverse natural conditions. In recent years, with economy development and population increase, the contradiction which the water, the land and the minerals are insufficient becomes more and more severe. The resources restraint is more and more serious and implementing the economic, social and resource environment sustainable development of Gansu province is more and more urgent. In this paper, the sunvtmding provinces of Gansu province and several developed provinces are chosen as the references. With the point of regional sustainable development, the sustainable development index system is set up, and the model of principal components is applied to evaluate the sustainable development capacity issues and differences between Gansu and other provinces, Finally the strategies of the sustainable development are put forward.
