为了说明软土地基上建筑物变形控制的重要性,文章根据某个建筑物墙体开裂的工程实例,通过对一些在不同条件下地基土的变形特点的探讨,说明了墙体开裂的原因,并对在软土地区应注意的问题提出了看法。

In order to state the importance of deformation control for buildings above soft clay, the paper studies the deformation features of ground soil under different conditions and combines with a project to illustrate reasons of wall cracking. It finally puts forward opinions on precautions of construction above soft clay.
