While the world economy continues to move toward to globalization, the value orientation, the strategic choices and the practical promoting of the development of China＇s politics constitute the reasonable kernel of the globalization. It has a significant and far - reaching impact on the formation and development of the modem political awareness, the political knowledge, the political psychology, and political values of contemporary college students. The global awareness, the concept of democracy, and the national spirit are the leading inherent ideological soul of the political participation of contemporary college students. This paper discusses the necessity, importance ,characteristics and problems of college students＇ political participation and its education channel.
