The Combination of Linguistic Knowledge with Cultural Background in English Teaching at Higher Vocational Colleges

本文分析了我国高职院校英语教学中所存在的问题,指出有必要在教学中把语言知识与文化知识进行有机的结合,以提高学生的跨文化交际能力,并就文化知识在高职英语教学中的运用提出几种切实可行的方法。

The article analyzes the existing problems with English teaching at higher vocational colleges,points out that it＇s necessary to combine the linguistic knowledge with cultural background properly in the teaching so as to enhance the students＇ability of intereultural communication. It also puts forward several practical ways of applying the cultural background in the English teaching at higher vocational colleges.
