《清明》的翻译与文化探讨

可译与不可译的问题向来为翻译界所关注。由于语言和中西方文化差异,中国古体诗英译不可避免地存在一些不可译现象。本文以古诗《清明》的几个英译文本为个案,分析了古体诗中英文表达的差异,探讨了中国古体诗意境的不可译性。

Translatability and untranslatability have always drawn world- wide translators＇ attention. Because of the differences of languages and cultures, the phenomenon of untranslability exists in the translation of Chinese classical poetry. The author analyzes some of the English translation of the poem ＂Ching Ming＂ by Dumu and emphasizes the untranslability of the artistic mood of Chinese classical poetry.
