摘要
理解"柔弱胜刚强"这一命题的关键在于了解《老子》赋予"柔弱"与"刚强"的特定内涵。《老子》用柔弱象征充满生机与活力、有利于世界和谐安宁的建设性的力量;用刚强象征发展到极致、必然要走向灭亡的破坏性力量。《老子》在柔弱与刚强两种力量的斗争中有意突出柔弱胜刚强的一面,其目的是以此警示人们要效法水善利万物而不争的特性,减少因私欲的过分膨胀而导致的过度争夺与倾轧。
In the book of Lao Zi,femininity embodies the constructive power,which is full of energy and in favor of harmony of the whole world.Mightiness embodies the devastating power,which is perfective and doomed to go to perdition.Lao Zi alarms that man should imitate water and restrict their own desire and escape excessive contention and conflict.
