Retinal nerve fiber layer thickness measurements in normal Chinese using stratus optical coherence tomography

摘要 目的建立Stratus OCT测量我国正常人视网膜神经纤维层(RNFL)厚度的正常值,探讨正常人RNFL厚度的变异程度和与年龄及性别的关系。设计前瞻性横断面研究。研究对象10~69岁的正常人。方法用Stratus OCT的扫描程序(Fast RNFL Thickness 3.4)对210例(210眼)正常人进行视乳头环形扫描,测量各象限和平均RNFL厚度值,应用SPSS 11.5软件统计学处理。主要指标RNFL厚度值。结果210例正常人上方象限、颞侧象限、下方象限、鼻侧象限及全周平均的RNFL厚度分别为(145.5±16.8)、(84.2±12.8)、(147.6±15.2)、(84.7±14.2)μm。平均RNFL厚度变异最小,鼻侧RNFL厚度变异最大。除鼻侧象限外,其它各象限及平均RNFL厚度与年龄均呈负相关性。对正常人RNFL厚度无性别差异。结论用Stratus OCT测量的正常人RNFL厚度数值中,平均RNFL厚度变异最小,鼻侧RNFL厚度变异最大;RNFL厚度随年龄增长而变薄。 Objective To provide the normative data of perapapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness in normal Chinese using Stratus optical coherence tomography (Stratus OCT) and to analyze the variation of parameters of RNFL thickness, and the relationships between RNFL and age, gender. Design Prospective cross-sectional study. Participants Normal subjects aging from 10 to 69 years. Methods 210 eyes of 210 normal subjects had undergone with the RNFL scan protocol (Fast RNFL Thickness 3.4) of Stratus OCT. Four quadrants and mean global RNFL thickness were measured. The data was analyzed using SPSS 11.5 software. Main Outcome Measure RNFL thickness. Results The average RNFL thickness in the superior, temporal, inferior and nasal quadrants were 145.5±16.8,84.2±12.8,147.6±15.2 and 84.7±14.21μm, respectively. The mean global RNFL thickness was 115.5±9.5 μm. The variation of mean global RNFL thickness was smallest, and of nasal quadrant RNFL thickness was largest. Except for nasal quadrant, there were significant correlations between mean global and other quadrants RNFL thickness and age. Gender had no effect on RNFL thickness in our study. Conclusions In the normative data of RNFL thickness of Stratus OCT in normal Chinese, the variation of mean global RNFL thickness was smallest, and of nasal quadrant RNFL thickness was largest. The older age had the thinner RNFL thickness.
