The modem open and distance education is of great flexibility and it can meet the needs of different learners from different levels. The survey shows that study group activities can promote learners＇ autonomous learning ability and strengthen their learning effect. Study groups have the characteristics of different forms and various activities, which should be guided and given proper management to make group learning an active and effective teaching link and play the appropriate role in cultivating innovative personnel.
