The paper introduces the problems of forging double ended spanners on common hot die forging, and advantages of replacing the traditional technology to produce double ended spanners with the technology of cold die forging. The technological analysis of the plastic deformation of double ended spanner is elaborated;the design of forging drawing; the sectional diagram and the diametral diagram of the calculating billet; and the die design and its materials of cold die forging.
