EPON Technology Helps HFC Network to Develop

介绍了EPON接入技术，认为EPON接入技术是广电理想的接入模式。介绍了城乡HFC网络中应用EPON技术的设计思路，指出采用FTTx的EPON＋LAN方案实现有线宽带综合信息网络，这使得HFC网络更加稳定，带宽足够大，EPON接入技术必将促进城乡HFC网络上新的台阶。

This paper introduces EPON access technology, and considers that EPON access technology as the ideal access pattern for the cable network. It also introduces the design idea of using EPON access technology in HFC network in the town and the village. Then the paper presents that the cable network could adapt EPON ＋ LAN scheme of FTTx to realize the integrated cable broadband information network, which can make HFC network steadier and get the enough bandwidth. HFC network in the town and the village will have a promised future because of EPON access technology.
