计算空间关系的算法是空间数据库和智能地理信息系统的核心。现重点讨论空间关系中的方向关系的定性表示和计算。针对有效地计算在多边形集合区域间的方向关系,提出了线性时间内定性计算方向关系的算法,通过分析得到该算法是有效的。

The algorithm of computing of spatial relationship is the key of spatial database and Geographical Information System（GIS）.This paper focuses on the qualitative representation and computing of directional relationship in the spatial relationship and presents an efficient algorithm to compute directional relationship between regions composed of sets of polygons in linear time.
