On application of GIS in global logistics——A case study of TransCAD

物流被认为是第三利润源,在现今社会蓬勃发展。为获取更廉价的原材料,寻觅更合适的顾客以提高收益,各公司纷纷涉足国际物流行业。现以TransCAD为例,证明GIS对物流业颇多助益,然后推理论证,得出GIS也能在国际物流业中发挥其功效。

Logistics has been considered as a third source of profit and is blooming nowadays. The need to find cheaper raw materials, better customers and to increase or maintain profits sends many firms into global logistics. This paper uses TransCAD as an example to prove GIS can be very useful to logistics. Then by reasoning and deducing, it reaches the conclusion that GIS is also applicable in global logistics.
