Educational Equality in the Harmonious Development of Rural and Urban Areas: Problems and Solutions

教育不公平,是公众最不能接受的现象,也是建设和谐社会的障碍之一。我国城乡教育差距悬殊,教育不公平问题在我国农村愈演愈烈。农村教育发展滞后,农民子女受教育权利受到侵害,是不公平的教育制度所致。建设城乡和谐的社会,必须改革不公平的教育制度,实现城乡教育的和谐发展。

Educational inequality is probably the most irritating phenomenon to the general public of the country,and constitutes one of the obstacles to a harmonious society.The wide gap between rural and urban areas in education has made the problem increasingly serious to the former.The offences of the educational rights to farmers＇ children,resulted from the backward education in the countryside,are attributed to the unfair system of education.Therefore,in order to build a society that harmonizes the city and the country,the government has to reform the unjust system and facilitate an equal and coordinated development of education in both areas.
