Fieldwork cognition is an important teaching manner of connecting theory with practice as well as a major practical link of teaching plans. The paper expounds the importance and necessity of fieldwork cognition, analyzes the factors of restricting the quality of chemical engineer fieldwork cognition and expatiates on the ways of improving such quality for the purpose of setting up a new teaching pattern suitable for the chemical engineer fieldwork cognition in our university and effectively promotes its quality.
