Topography Theme——The Review of 9^(th)International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale Exhibition

This paper explores the topography theme through a retrospect of the 9th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale Exhibition, analyses the design strategies of the works exhibited, reveals its influence on architecture design. Further more, the paper tries to prove that phenomenology and post-structuralism both are the important ideas of the theme. Finally, it reflects on the meanings of the theme to architecture and urbanism for its thinking about the relationship between human and earth.
