A Comparative Study of Chinese and Japanese Enterprises during Their Early Stages of Overseas Development

选择中日企业海外发展初期进行比较研究是可比性较大、也是较有价值的。二战后,日本企业在海外发展初期的动力非常强,其所面对的国际市场空隙很大,因此有足够时间以渐进和低风险方式从容发展,并取得较高的成功率。与日本当年相比较,中国企业在海外发展初期的动力较小,面对的国际市场空隙很小,准备不足但发展速度很快。经济全球化对中国企业影响甚大,迫使它们迅速向海外发展,并很快向跨国并购方式升级。

It is worthwhile to conduct a comparative study of Japanese and Chinese enterprises in their early stages of overseas development.After World War II,Japan was strongly motivated to expand its enterprises overseas.The huge demands of the international market enabled Japanese enterprises to develop their overseas market progressively,with low risks and a relatively high rate of success.In comparison,Chinese enterprises were less motivated during their early stages of overseas development.But despite low international market demand and inadequate preparation,Chinese enterprises developed rapidly.Globalization has had a great impact on Chinese enterprises,forcing them to expand rapidly overseas and,as a consequence,has led to an escalation in the acquisition of foreign companies.
