Study of Translator's Subjectivity Regarding Feminist Translation Theory

The identity and status of the translator have long been neglected in traditional translation theories while the ＂cultural turn＂ in translation studies has given prominence to the issue. The feminist translation theory,a new theory prevailing in the west,emphasizes the translator＇s subjectivity,especially the translatress＇. This paper examines the development of the researches on the translator＇s subjectivity and then explores the particular views and contributions of the feminist translation to the study of the issue.
