信号转导子与转录激活子3（STAT3）既是一种重要的核转录因子，也是一种信号转导因子，参与细胞生长、恶性转化、凋亡等生理功能的调控，STAT3的持续激活与多种恶性肿瘤发生发展密切地相关。目前STAT3与肝细胞癌的研究已经取得初步成果，STAT3可能是治疗肝细胞癌的一个关键靶点。

Signal transducers and activators of transcription 3 （ STAT3 ） is not only an important nuclear transcription factor,but also a signal transducer, taking part in the functional regulations of growth, malignant transformation, apoptosis of cells, continued activation of STAT3 is intimately associated with geneses and de- velopments of many types of human cancers. Now,primary achievements have been gotten about the research of STAT3 and hepatocellular carcinoma, STAT3 may be a key target for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma.
