Information management system based on single nucleotide polymorphisms experiment workflow

摘要 针对研究单核苷酸多态性(SNP)分子生物实验的特点和需求,利用Java技术开发一套基于SNP实验流程的,并且集成TaqMan、Sequencing、Illumina 3个实验平台数据的实验室信息管理系统。系统为B/S体系,采用基于MVC(Model-View-Con- troller)模式的J2EE架构,层次清晰、界面友好、使用方便、支持多用户同时在线操作,且可跨操作系统平台(Windows/Linux/ Unix)运行。本文简要介绍系统的设计思路、体系架构、实现过程和主要功能。本系统实现了实验室数据的收集、存储、整合、查询,提高实验室的工作效率和管理水平,可为今后分子生物学、化学、医学以及其他实验学科的实验室信息管理系统的建设提供参考。 Modern molecular biology labs doing SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) related research are confronted with the task of managing and integrating data from multiple sources generated by various experiment platforms. To meet their needs, we developed a java-based LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) that manages data from TaqMan,Illumina and sequencing platforms. It is a multi-user B/S system with J2EE architecture based on MVC (Model-View-Controller) model that supports multiple OS platforms (Windows/Linux/Unix). This LIMS proves to help SNP labs to collect, store, manage, integrate, and search data effectively. This article describes the software and its design, implementation and main functions. These details may provide valuable information and shed light on the development and implementation of future LIMS targeted at other types of laboratories conducting biological, chemical or medical experiments.
